How to find the gold: mobility of gold in the tropical environment

I had sunk an exploration shaft by hand some months before looking for alluvial Diamonds near this spot and I was pleasantly surprised to see a small Diamond in my Suruca.

We clawed our way into this small drainage with an excavator and set up a small screening plant and had some very good results.

You can see the irregular Kaolin clay  bedrock underneath my left foot. My hand is on about two feet of rounded quartz pebbles and a tightly packed sand bearing strata. Anywhere in this region when you find this type of gravel, you would find Diamonds and sometime some pretty good gold.

When you did find gold it looked like someone had stamped out every piece from a mold! Over time and a lot of good research, I am certain the mobility and re-concentration was chemical in nature.

In time I will discuss the Mobility of Gold in the Tropical Environment.  The entire planet has experienced some kind of tropical event over the millions of years of geologic events. I will be sharing these experiences I have had sorting out the clues that I have stumbled onto over the years, and some of my conclusions. Good stuff!!!
